out of all of those points, the only one i know the gain at for sure is the single operating point. The points are actually in six groups of 3 with one point which is the operating point. I use Sigma Plot to do a best fit line on the points I have collected. Y=p1/(1+exp((x-p3)*p2))+p4 where Y=heart rate, X= estimated carotid sinus pressure, p1=range of Y, p2=slope coeff, p3=centerpoint on X, p4 = minimum Y. My guess is they made the server changes as indicated in the referenced news article above this morning/last night and there is obviously a configuration problem.I model arterial baroreflex data that I have collected in humans using the Kent equation which is: I've sent the updated symptoms to CVM IT. On further investigation, we've discovered that SigmaPlot will run from wired computers, but not from wireless. You do not need to use the launcher if you are using SigmaStat v3.5 with SigmaPlot v10. Otherwise simply use the shortcuts created by the installer if you will only use one. Note: You only need to use the launcher if you have both programs installed and want to use both. SigmaPlot v11 will be the only application available).Īs always, if you have problems or need help because the instructions are too confusing, contact us. Without more input on this, once they fix the wireless issue, CVM will discontinue SigmaStat v3.5 in addition to SigmaPlot v10 (i.e. If you do not believe you can do what you currently do in SigmaStat with SigmaPlot just as easily, please reply with the specifics so I can relay on to CVM. I’m not sure I necessarily agree with this, but lack the statistical or program usage back that up.
Lastly, CVM IT is under the impression that Sigma Plot v11 can do everything SigmaStat v3.5 can. €¦ and double-click on the FixSP11 file.
#DOES SIGMAPLOT 11 PATCH#
If all you plan on running is SigmaPlot v11 and already have it installed, you can fix the license error by running a patch we created. Again, this work-around will NOT work for wireless users or v10. See above for the installers if you don’t have either/or installed. This launcher assumes you have both SigmaStat v3.5 and SigmaPlot v11 already installed in the default locations. €¦and copy the file CVM_Launcher file to your desktop. P:/software/Unrestricted/PC/Scientific/CVM_Software However, if wired users want to run SigmaPlot v11 with SigmaStat v3.5 you will run into a the ‘setting’ problem (one or both will complain about not finding a license).Īs a short-term work around for this I created a ‘Launcher’ script that will let you select which application to run, add/delete the variable as needed and launch the chosen program. You can run both SigmaPlot v10 and SigmaStat v3.5 together with no problems. P:/software/Unrestricted/PC/Scientific/CVM_Software/Installer CVM has re-allowed the v10 installer and I’ve added the link under: We apologize for the problems, however, since the program and servers are out of DCRC control, we cannot fix them directly.įor now, wireless users will have to run SigmaPlot v10. I’ve asked for CVM to look into getting SigmaStat working under the same method. The new license version requires a setting on the computer which breaks how SigmaStat v3.5 and SigmaPlot v10 checks for their license compliance. Until this is fixed, wireless users cannot run SigmaPlot v11. I’m working with DoIT to try and get this resolved. I believe that there is a block for MizzouWireless users that is preventing communication, as wired users do not have a problem. Without it, it complains about not finding a license file. This new version requires that a Environment variable be set before it will work.
CVM updated the SigmaPlot v11 to the latest network version which uses a new method of license tracking. SigmalPlot 11 should now function with the caveats of the 3rd option below and the Fix 2 and Fix 3 still being necessary.ġ. In addition to discovering that the CVM Server is actually a cluster setup, we worked with DoIT Networking to resolve the communication problem. This only affects CVM (Vet School) affiliated labs.Īfter much trouble-shooting DCRC IT identified the primary problem with license communication between MizzouWireless clients and the CVM Server.
#DOES SIGMAPLOT 11 UPDATE#
If you cannot get SigmaPlot to work please see the Update section of the news article specifying the new changes to the CVM support network software posted last week. I've contacted CVM IT and they are looking into the situation. SigmaPlot v11 Network client IS functioning. The SimgaStat v3.5 Network client is failing at launch indicating it cannot find a license file.
